What We Collect

• Search query text, such as one MPN or one component description.
• Resolved part IDs, match quality, risk result, and timestamps used to improve search quality.
• Basic operational logs needed to keep the service reliable and secure.

What We Do Not Collect

• No user accounts in the current product.
• First-party analytics identifiers when analytics cookies are accepted.
• No advertising profile.
• No payment data.
• No BOM uploads on the public search input.

Why We Use Data

• To resolve component searches.
• To find unknown MPNs that need enrichment.
• To measure page views, search submissions, quote availability, errors, and consent changes.
• To improve manufacturer normalization, duplicate detection, alternatives, and risk scoring.
• To detect abuse, outages, and bad data.

Analytics

Analytics are first-party. We do not use a third-party analytics SDK in the current product. Analytics events include page path, event name, consent state, visitor ID, session ID, and limited metadata such as match type, risk level, or offer count.

Sources And Evidence

Component facts may come from internal quote data and public component sources. The database keeps source, confidence, and raw payload lineage so normalized facts can be traced back to evidence.

Retention

Search logs and enrichment review tasks are kept only as long as they are useful for component quality, debugging, security, or legal compliance. Raw source snapshots are intended to be immutable evidence archives.

Contact And Removal

Requests to inspect, correct, or remove data should identify the specific query, part, source record, or quote record involved.
